Here's more about me. I am an artist that, over the last 40 years, has travelled through many mediums and types of art such as portraits, abstract and surrealism in acrylic on canvas, charcoal and ink illustration on paper, mixed media sculptures on canvas and now Wildlife, Equine and Pet Portraits using coloured pencil on paper.
For my Wildlife, Equine and Pet Portraits I use the highest quality art materials available so that my work can last through generations.
My coloured pencil work is done using a mixed selection of pencils for the best colour palette and use of light-fast materials; I mainly use Caran d'Ache Luminance 6901, Caran d'Ache Pablos, Caran d'Ache Museum Aquarelle, Derwent Drawing, Derwent Lightfast, Derwent Coloursoft, Faber Castell Polychromos range, Holbein White and Prismacolor Premier. The pencils I use are museum-grade archival, with the highest degrees of lightfastness.
I have experimented with many different papers over the last 20 years - however my favoured paper has always been Italian Fabriano Artistico 640gsm hot pressed 100% cotton which is acid-free and archival museum rated.
